Abstract

The present invention relates to a system for weighing moving motor vehicles based on an assembly comprising loop sensors and fiber-optic sensors fitted in a rigid metal profile. The technical scope of the invention is systems for measuring dynamic physical events caused directly or indirectly by a motor vehicle passing over the sensors of said systems. The rigid weight sensor is made of a metal, plastic, composite, or similar rigid or semi-rigid material with a deformation profile optimized to convert vertical forces into horizontal forces, also comprising damping and protection material to attenuate external horizontal forces. This assembly makes it possible to measure the parameters with a high degree of precision reliably and simply, with the advantages of being installed and adapted to any floor, being minimally intrusive, being impervious to electromagnetic interference, being low cost, having a long service life, and requiring simple manufacturing technology of lower cost than the technology in the prior art.

Abstract

The present patent of invention relates to an integrated, predictive, smart system for controlling the periods of time for which vehicle-flow control signals stop traffic or allow traffic to proceed, which uses the set of data and information supplied by the various available geoprocessing systems (GPS) and traffic-control systems in order to manage computing intelligence and to adjust the timing of each signal in accordance with the flow of people and vehicles envisaged for each intersection. The system uses monitoring of crowdsourcing/big data information systems, smart, trainable decision-making algorithms based on machine learning and the IoT. A central unit based on artificial intelligence and big data interacts with traffic signals, PMVs, smartphones, people systems, web systems, inter alia. This enables lives to be saved since the routes of such vehicles are not obstructed by ordinary traffic.
