Abstract

A method for forming of a building panel with a surface including a thermosetting resin such that tension created during curing of the surface is reduced or eliminated. Method for producing a panel with a wood based core and a surface layer including a thermosetting resin wherein the method including: curing and connecting the surface layer to the core while applying heat and pressure in a first main pressing step, thus raising a temperature of the surface layer above an initial temperature; applying a bending force on the panel after the first main pressing step to bend the panel such that an uppermost surface of the panel is convex an a lowermost surface of the panel is concave while the panel is still above the initial temperature; and releasing the bending force such that the panel springs back to an essentially flat shape.

Abstract

A method for forming grooves in a board element. An exemplary method includes arranging the board element in contact with a support member, and forming at least one groove in a rear side of the board element by removing material, such as chips, from the board element by rotating one or more cutting devices including a plurality of tooth elements configured to rotate around a rotational axis. A method further includes counteracting, such as preventing, a displacement of the board element away from the support member during forming of the at least one groove, wherein the counteracting, such as preventing, includes arranging at least a portion of the board element between an obstruction element and the support member.

Abstract

Floor panels are shown, which are provided with a vertical folding locking system on short edges that only locks vertically and a mechanical locking system on long edges that prevents displacement along the long edges. A locking system for primarily rectangular floor panels with long and short edges installed in parallel rows, which allows that the short edges may be locked to each other with a vertical movement without a horizontal connection and that such horizontal connection is accomplished by the locking system on the long edges including a first and second horizontal locking perpendicular to the edges and along the edges.

Abstract

A method of forming a digital embossing on a surface by bonding hard press particles to a carrier. A liquid binder pattern is applied on the carrier by a digital drop application head. Hard press particles are applied on the carrier and the binder pattern such that some hard press particles are bonded to the carrier by the liquid pattern and non-bonded press particles are removed. The carrier with the bonded hard press particles is pressed to the surface and an embossing is formed when the carrier with the hard press particles is removed.

Abstract

A method and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry colourants on a surface of a panel, bonding a part of the colourants with a binder and removing the non-bonded colourants from the surface. The method of forming a digital print on a surface of a panel includes displacing the panel under a digital drop application head, applying a liquid binder with the digital drop application head on the surface; applying colourants on the liquid binder and the surface; bonding a part of the colourants to the surface with the liquid binder; removing non-bonded colourants from the surface such that a digital print is formed by the bonded colourants; and applying heat and pressure on the panel, the surface and the bonded colorants such that the colourants are permanently bonded to the surface.

Abstract

A method for coating of a floor panel and a floor panel produced by the method. A method for producing a laminated product, for example a building panel, preferably a floor panel. The method includes applying a paper on one side of a wood fiber based core, e.g., an HDF panel, creating a décor on the paper by a digital printing process, applying a resin, preferably a melamine formaldehyde resin, on the paper, heating the décor and the paper with the resin, preferably by using an IR lamp; and applying heat and pressure in order to cure the resin and thereby obtain a laminated product. Also, alternative methods for producing a laminated product, and such a laminated product.

Abstract

A method of forming a digital embossing (17) on a surface (2) by bonding hard press particles (67) to a carrier (68). A liquid binder pattern (P) is applied on the carrier by a digital drop application head. Hard press particles (67) are applied on the carrier (68) and the binder pattern such that some hard press particles are bonded to the carrier (68) by the liquid pattern and non-bonded press particles (67) are removed. The carrier (68) with the bonded hard press particles (67) is pressed to the surface (2) and an embossing is formed when the carrier (68) with the hard press particles (67) is removed.

Abstract

A tongue with edge sections that are used to glue the tongue into a groove of panel. A tongue for connection of a building panel, said tongue is of an elongated shape and made of molded plastic, the tongue including at least two protrusions at a first long edge of the tongue, wherein the protrusions are bendable in a plane parallel to the upper surface of the tongue and extending essentially in the parallel plane and, wherein the tongue has a second long edge, which is essentially straight over substantially the whole length of the tongue and the tongue includes a gluing part configured to be glued into a groove at an edge of the building panel.
