The present invention relates to a diamide-polyolefin wax mixture which comprises one or more diamides (A) and one or more polyolefin waxes (B), the one or more diamides (A) having a structure of formula X1-CO-NH-Y-NH-CO-X2, wherein X1 and X2 are the same or different and are linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally substituted hydrocarbon groups with 3 to 29 carbon atoms, and Y is a divalent organic group, selected from the group consisting of aliphatic groups with 2 to 26 carbon atoms, aromatic groups with 6 to 24 carbon atoms or araliphatic groups with 7 to 24 carbon atoms, and Y optionally contains secondary or tertiary amine groups, and the one or more polyolefin waxes (B) carry one or more carboxyl groups and have an acid number of 3 to 50, and are homopolymers or copolymers of at least one ethylenically-unsaturated olefin monomer. The mixture contains the one or more diamides (A) in an amount of 20% by weight to less than 40% by weight relative to the total weight of the diamide-polyolefin wax mixture, the one or more polyolefin waxes (B) in an mount of more than 60% by weight up to 80% by weight relative to the total weight of the diamide-polyolefin wax mixture, and is characterized in that the diamide-polyolefin wax mixture is present as a particulate solid having a defined particle size distribution at 25°C and the particles contain both the diamide (A) and the polyolefin wax (B). Abstract

The invention relates to an emulsion containing or consisting of (A) 40.00 to 97.98 wt.% of at least one hydrocarbon, (B) 2.00 to 59.98 wt.% water or an aqueous solution of a salt, which does not fall under the following definition according to (C), and (C) 0.02 to 8.00 wt.% of a salt from an amino amide of a fatty acid, containing at least one primary, secondary or tertiary amino group, and an acid component of general formula (I), in which R1 is a linear or branched, saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated hydrocarbon group with 1 to 40 C-atoms, R2 is an alkylene or arylalkylene group with 2 to 20 C-atoms, and X is a group containing at least one acid group, where m = 0 or 1, n = 1 to 30, wherein the weight proportions of the components (A), (B) and (C) relate to the sum of the masses of these components and this is 100 wt.%. The invention also relates to a method for producing the emulsion, an oil-based drilling fluid and a method for creating and stabilising a drill hole.

Abstract

The invention further relates to the use of the ureaurethanes or ureaurethane compositions as rheology control agent and anti-settling agent. Abstract

The invention relates to a two-component or multi-component system having at least one epoxy resin component (1) that comprises i. at least one epoxy resin, ii. at least one inorganic thickener (a1) and iii. at least one wetting and dispersing agent (a2) that inhibits the thickening effect of said inorganic thickener (a1); as well as a curing component (2) which comprises i.) at least one component (b1) that at least partially cancels the inhibition of the thickening effect of the inorganic thickener (a1); said wetting and dispersing agent (a2) being non-reactive to the at least one epoxy resin, and the curing component (2) being reactive to said epoxy resin component (1). The invention also relates to substrates coated with a two-component or multi-component system according to the invention. The invention also relates to the use of a combination of (a1) and (a2) in epoxy resin compositions, in order to give the formulation a latent thickening effect.

Abstract

The invention relates to a urea preparation containing (A) 5 to 75 wt.% of one or more urea components which have a molecular weight of at least 350 g/mol and contain at least one urea group; (B) 15 to 95 wt.%, preferably 30 to 80 wt.%, of one or more organic solvents from the group of N alkyl amides that have a molecular weight of 155 to 700 g/mol, are free of urea groups, and have the following formula (I), in which (a) R1 is an x-containing hydrocarbon group, where x = 1 to 24 carbon atoms, R2 is a y-containing organic group, where y = 1 to 12 carbon atoms, and R3 is a z-containing organic group, where z = 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or (b) R1, R2, and R3 are defined as in (a) but R1 and R2 are connected to each other by a chemical bond and together form a ring with 4 to 10 ring atoms while incorporating the group C(=O)N, and in the case of a ring with 4 or 5 ring atoms, R3 contains at least 6 carbon atoms and maximally 11 carbon atoms, or (c) R1, R2, and R3 are defined as in (a) but R2 and R3 are connected to each other by a chemical bond and together form a ring with 4 to 10 ring atoms while incorporating the nitrogen atom of the general formula (I) with the proviso that for each of (a), (b), and (c), x+y+z ≥8; (C) 0 to 35 wt.% of one or more organic solvents which differ from (B) and do not contain urea groups or ionic groups and which have maximally two heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of nitrogen and oxygen; and (D) 0 to 50 wt.% of a salt which differs from the urea component(s) (A), the solvent(s) (B), and the solvent(s) (C), wherein the sum of all of the stated weight percentages equals the total weight of the urea preparation. The invention further relates to the use of the urea preparation as a rheology additive for liquid compositions and to liquid media which contain the urea preparations.
