Abstract
A tubular, adjustable, reed-type game call has axially aligned, adjustable sections. A tubular horn is threadably interconnected with a tubular handle comprising a mouthpiece and an intermediate coupling with an internal sounding chamber. The horn is threadably mated to internal coupling threads, and relative twisting of the horn relative to the mouthpiece causes axial lengthening or shortening of the game call, as the horn is displaced relative to the coupling. A cylindrical anchor supports an elongated reed and a parallel, elongated sounding board. A contactor pressures the reed at a point that is varied when the parts are twisted together or apart, to shorten or lengthen the effective reed length, producing different user selectable sounds. A lock washer is positioned proximate the contactor for securing it.

Abstract
An apparatus including a light-emitting device configured to illuminate blood is described. The light-emitting device may include a red light source configured to emit red light. The light-emitting device may also include a green light source configured to emit green light. The light-emitting device may additionally include a first refractive lens and a reflector having a concave surface to reflect a portion of red light emitted by the red light source and a portion of green light emitted by the green light source toward the first refractive lens. The first refractive lens may be configured to direct red light emitted by the red light source to form a red light beam and to direct green light emitted by the green light source to form a green light beam. Additionally, the light-emitting device may include an optical adjuster configured to adjust a separation distance between the first refractive lens and at least one of the green light source and the red light source. The optical adjuster may further be configured to move the first refractive lens with respect to at least one of the red light source and the green light source. A method for illuminating blood is additionally disclosed.

Abstract
A whistle-type game call for reproducing sounds made by certain whistling animals, such as ducks or other waterfowl, without manipulating (e.g., rolling, vibrating, fluttering, etc.) the tongue. The whistle may include a sound chamber with one or more protruding ridges to space a free-floating tubular member contained by the sound chamber from an internal surface of the sound chamber. The spacing between the free-floating tube and the internal surface of the sound chamber prevents the free-flowing tubular member from sticking to the internal surface of the sound chamber due to accumulations of water, dirt, saliva, or any other foreign substances. The whistle may also include a hole for a lanyard to more conveniently carry the game call. The game call may be constructed from two halves, one of the halves having a ridge track and the other having a recess receptive of the ridge track to ensure proper alignment of the two halves.
