Abstract

An improved patch panel assembly includes a frame and faceplate that mate with a housing, and the housing defines a plurality of individual communication ports. The housing is mounted to the patch panel frame and includes jack openings that accommodate data jacks and circuit board openings that accommodate mating blades of circuit boards. The two sets of openings are separated on the housing by an intervening spacing and interposer terminal sets are provided to electrically interconnect the jacks with circuits on the circuit boards. The patch panel housings may be formed in discrete groupings so that, if desired, the patch panels may have ports that are grouped together by bandwidth, storage capability and the like. Inasmuch as the housings are mounted to the patch panel frames, the jacks and the circuit boards can be easily and individually replaced, repaired or upgraded with similar components without requiring disassembly of the patch panel.

Abstract

An embodiment includes a holder assembly with terminals that are supported by insert molding. The terminals are electrically connector to conductors, which can be covered with an insulative covering, and thus provide easy to connector holder assemblies. The holder can include features that allow an LED module to be inserted into a recess in the housing and retained via a friction fit. Abstract

The Present Disclosure relates to a poke-in connector configured so that a wire can be contacted at the same time it is locked to a terminal, solely by the action of pushing the wire into the terminal. More specifically, it relates to a poke-in connector that facilitates locking and unlocking of a wire. The poke-in connector of the Present Disclosure comprises a terminal where a wire is inserted and locked while making contact, and a housing that covers the terminal and is formed as one piece with a locking release lever that releases the wire from the locked state. The locking release lever comprises a flexible extension part that has elasticity and extends from the housing, and a pressing part that is formed on the terminus of the flexible extension part and enables the removal of the wire by spreading the locking part of the terminal to either side when pressed.

The main body is provided with a top surface, a bottom surface, and an accommodation hole and a plurality of fixation holes that pass through said top surface and said bottom surface. The accommodation hole comprises an upper opening and a lower opening that is formed on the bottom surface of the main body. The support frame is connected to the main body and is provided in the accommodation hole such that the light-emitting module rests on said frame. Abstract

An LED module can be powered by two conductors and the LED module includes a constant current driver. The constant current driver is configured to provide a predetermined current so long as the input voltage provided on the two conductors exceeds a predetermined level. The constant current driver powers an LED string supported by the LED module and can adjust the current to the LED string based on an input signal. A conversion circuit converts the input voltage to an input signal and provides that input signal to the constant current driver so that dimming can be provided while only using two conductors to provide power.

Abstract

An Ethernet port is configured with a load circuit that reduces costs compared to the conventional Bob-Smith load circuit when providing Power Over Ethernet (POE). A first centertap from a first transformer is coupled to a first side of a first capacitor. A second centertap from a second transformer is coupled to a first side of a second capacitor. The second side of the first and second capacitors is coupled to a common node. The common node forms an electrical midpoint between the two centertaps. An avalanche diode can be placed between the two centertaps in parallel with the two series connected capacitors and power can be injected on the two centertaps to provide POE. A single resistor can be used to provide load termination before a safety capacitor.

Abstract

An electrical connector arrangement includes male and female connectors each having plural terminals connected to a respective conductor, and adapted for mutual physical and electrical mating. Each connector includes a respective overmold body coupled to a multi-conductor cable, a respective inner insulator disposed about and in contact with plural terminals, and an outer threaded coupling nut for coupling the two connectors together, where each insulator is comprised of an electrically insulating, thermally conductive material. In one connector, a conductive, cylindrical metal sleeve is disposed between its associated insulator and coupling nut. In that same connector, a generally circular metallic, spiral cooling spring is disposed between and in intimate contact with adjacent portions of the inner metal sleeve and the outer coupling nut to facilitate transfer and dissipation of heat via conduction and convection from the connector's outer surface.

Abstract

The disclosure relates to a panel connector for locking to a pass-through opening of a panel to allow electrical connection from one side of the panel to the other side. This connection can be considered to be of an outside-in type. The connector can seal the pass-through opening to resist passage dirt, debris and/or liquids. A channel provided on the connector can include a sealing gasket and can receive an annular rib disposed on the panel to create an effective and robust seal against even pressurized water spray. The connector can also prevent unlocking of the connector from the panel once locked to the panel. A resilient locking arm provided on the connector for engaging a mating slot of the panel opening can prevent counter rotational unlocking and detent member can prevent continued rotation after the connector is in the locked position.

Abstract

An antenna includes a slot feed on the radiator itself (On Radiator Slot Fed Antenna or ORSFA) instead of the slot feed being a separate element. One of the advantages of having the slot feed integrated onto the radiator is that the antenna is less dependent on the adjacent conductive parts, since the feed is coupling to the radiator rather than to ground (as is done in a standard slot feed antenna concept). The Q of the radiator can also be reduced for a given volume, since the coupler is removed from the antenna volume. In an embodiment the antenna can include a transmission line and an impedance match circuit directly on the radiator.

Abstract

A connector system is configured for macro motion. Two mating terminals are configured so that during macro motion cycles, the resistance between two terminals does not substantially increase. One terminal can have multiple, somewhat spherical-shaped mating surfaces while a mating surface on the other terminal can be flat. The mating terminals can be configured to provide desirable resistance performance after more than 5000 cycles of macro motion.
