Abstract

The invention relates to a bone plate and to a fixation system comprising two types of bone screws. The bone plate has two intersecting stepped round holes (21, 22) which are different in size and in the upper regions of which a circumferential rib (33) extends. The upper region of the smaller round hole (22) is designed to slidably guide a bone screw having a partially spherical head and a screw having a thread or conical head. The lower region of the larger round hole (21) is used to support a conical head (42).

Abstract

The invention relates to a connecting element for modular components of implants, in which the implant modules, such as the proximal and distal components, are interconnected by means of a mounting screw. The front surfaces of the connecting element and the contact surfaces of the implant module facing towards said front surfaces are embodied as conical surfaces which change the axial stress applied by the mounting screw in the conical contact surfaces into corresponding radial or annular stress for connecting the components. The conical surfaces are annular and embodied as double conical surfaces having an outer and an inner cone.

Abstract

The aim of the invention is to increase the number of possible uses of previously known bone plates and to increase their flexibility of manipulation. The invention relates to a bone plate (1) comprising a lower side (3) that rests against the bone and an upper side (2) that is opposite the bone, in addition to a plurality of holes that are provided, essentially, along the longitudinal axis of the plate, through which bone screws, which are to be anchored to the bone, can be inserted. At least one of said holes is a continuous hole (4). Thread grooves (5) are provided in the continuous hole. An additional embodiment of the inventive bone plate (1) is characterised in that the thread grooves (5), when seen in the direction transversal to the plane of the upper side (2), are arranged only over one part of the depth of the oblong hole (4) and in said direction, above or below the thread grooves (5), a smooth walled support structure (6) for a positive fit with a correspondingly configured negative structure is provided on a screw head of a bone screw.

Abstract

The aim of the invention is to enlarge the possibilities of use of previously known bone plates and increase their flexibility of manipulation. To this end, the invention proposes a bone plate (1) comprising a bottom side (3) that is to rest against the bone and an upper side (2) opposite to the bone as well as a plurality of holes located preferably along the longitudinal axis of the plate, through which bone screws (9, 11) can be inserted to be anchored to a bone. At least one of these holes is a continuous oblong hole (4) comprising a longitudinal axis running in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the plate. Thread flights (5) are provided in a partial area of the lateral side of the oblong hole, said thread flights, when seen in a direction transversal to the plane of the upper side (2), are arranged only over a part of the depth of the oblong hole (4). In the direction transversal to the plane of the upper side (2), above and/or below the thread flights (5), a support structure (6) with smooth walls for the positive fit with a correspondingly configured negative structure (14) at a screw head (10, 12) or screw neck of a bone screw (9, 11) is provided.
