Abstract

A portable terminal device sets a security level for each application in accordance with position, and stores the level in a memory. The security level determines whether each application is displayed or made executable on a display portion in locked state and unlocked state. A controller refers to the security level and determines the application displayed on the display portion in accordance with position information acquired by a position information acquisition unit (GPS reception unit), and makes executable the application selected by the user. Thus, the portable terminal device offers user-friendliness while ensuring security strength.

Abstract

The present invention is intended to permit both real-time display of a picture represented by a non-compressed video signal on a television and display of a picture represented by a compressed video signal at any desired time by simultaneously transmitting the compressed video signal and non-compressed video signal via one interface. An STB packetizes a compressed video signal, and multiplexes the compressed video signal and a blanking signal combined with a non-compressed video signal. Thus, both the video signals are transmitted simultaneously. A picture represented by the non-compressed video signal is displayed on a television in real time. The compressed video signal is stored in a storage medium incorporated in the television, read at any user's desired time, and decoded so that a picture represented by the compressed video signal can be viewed at the user's desired time.

Abstract

Provided is a foamed resin sheet with which it is possible to reduce the discarded amount of resin material caused by trimming after molding in a molding method such as vacuum molding or pressure molding. This foamed resin sheet 1 is an extruded sheet. The foamed resin sheet 1 includes one edge 2 in the width direction extending along the extrusion direction, another edge 3 in the width direction extending along the extrusion direction of the foamed resin sheet 1 on the opposite side of the one edge 2, and a center 4 positioned between the one edge 2 and the other edge 3. At least a portion of the one edge 2 and the other edge 3 has an apparent density lower than the center 4. The edge 2 and the edge 3 become grip parts to be fixed to a molding machine during vacuum molding or the like, and are removed by trimming. The apparent density of the edge 2 and the edge 3 is low, or in other words, the amount of resin is low, and thus it is possible to reduce the discarded amount of resin material removed by trimming.

Abstract

The present invention provides a head-up display device and a video data processing method that can flexibly adapt to a variety of display specifications. The present invention also contributes to the sustainable development goal of "3. Good health and well-being for all people". The present invention comprises: a video display part that displays video and emits video light of the displayed video, a video light projection part that projects the emitted video light onto a display area to cause the projected video light to be visually recognized as a virtual image; and a control part that determines a display content, prepares video data, and causes video based on the data to be displayed on the video display part. The control part carries out control to reduce a processing load required to prepare the video data so that the preparation of video data is completed within a predetermined processing cycle. As another example, when a preparation time required to prepare video data relating to a tentatively determined display content prior to determination of the display content is longer than a predetermined processing cycle, the control part changes the tentatively determined display content.

Abstract

The present invention provides an image pickup device that recognizes the object that the user is attempting to capture as the subject, tracks the movement of that subject, and can continue tracking the movement of the subject even when the subject leaves the capturing area so that the subject can always be reliably brought into focus. The image pickup device includes a main camera that captures the subject; an EVF that displays the captured image captured by the main camera, a sub-camera that captures the subject using a wider capturing region than the main camera, and a processing unit that extracts the subject from the captured images captured by the main camera and the sub-camera, tracks the extracted subject, and brings the subject into focus when an image of the subject is actually captured. When the subject moves outside of a capturing region of the main camera, the processing unit tracks the subject extracted from the captured image captured by the sub-camera.

Abstract

Provided is a head-up display apparatus capable of preventing damage due to sunlight and ensuring user convenience. A reflection mirror M1 reflects an image created by a display panel and projects it onto a display region. A solar radiation sensor detects a sunlight intensity when a position of sun exists within a predetermined detection range. A blocking mechanism forms a projected light path of an image between the display region and the display panel when being turned off, and blocks the projected light path of the image and an incident light path of the sunlight which is direction opposite thereto when being turned on. A protection processor controls ON/OFF of the blocking mechanism based on an estimated temperature of the display panel, which is estimated by using a sunlight intensity from the solar radiation sensor, luminance of a light source, and an ambient temperature.

Abstract

A compact and portable air floating video display apparatus includes a housing that can be installed in a bottle holder in a vehicle. A video display apparatus, a beam splitter, a retroreflector, a retardation plate, and a plane mirror are provided in the housing. In the air floating video display apparatus, a video light of a specific polarized wave from the video display apparatus is reflected by the plane mirror, transmitted through the beam splitter, and subjected to polarization conversion by being reflected by the retroreflector and passing through the retardation plate. Then, the video light is reflected by the beam splitter and transmitted through the window, thereby displaying an air floating video outside the apparatus.

Abstract

A picture display apparatus able to display content includes a network interface that can communicate with a portable terminal via a first network and acquire the content via a second network, and further includes a controller and a display capable of displaying the content and a content list of the content capable of being acquired via the second network. The content list settings information and operator information are stored in a storage in association with each other. When the controller determines that operator information acquired from the portable terminal is not operator information related to an operator stored in the storage, but instead is operator information regarding a new operator, the controller performs a control that enables processing to newly store operator information about the new operator in the storage without displaying, on the display, a content list based on content list settings information corresponding to operator information.

Abstract

A portable terminal device in an information processing system and method includes a camera and a microphone. Data of obtained images and voice are transmitted to a server that identifies operations to be executed based on the received voice and image data. The server transmits an identification of one or more results of the plurality of operations to the portable terminal device. When the portable terminal device receives only one result from the server, an operation corresponding to the one result is executed, and when a plurality of results is received, the portable terminal device displays information corresponding to the plurality of results as candidates. Additional voice is captured for selecting one of the plurality of results during the displaying of the information. A determination of one result from the plurality of results is made based on the captured voice, and an operation corresponding to the determined result is executed.
