Abstract

Abstract

A temperature-control device for receiving of laboratory vessels has a hollow housing with a temperature-control medium. The temperature-control device is thermally conditioned before use, and during use, the conditioned thermal energy is, in a finite time period, either absorbed from the laboratory vessels or transferred to same. The lower part of the housing has a base and the upper part of the housing has, opposite to said base, a receiving region which, in an upward direction, delimits the hollow internal region of the housing. In the receiving region, depressions directed inward serve as receivers for the laboratory vessels to be temperature-controlled. The hollow housing has an air space separated from the internal region. In the internal region, the temperature-control medium flows at least partially around and/or through a horizontally extending absorber element, and said absorber element is connected to the receiving region in thermally conductive manner.

Abstract

A pipette device having a pipette unit (1), a positioning unit (4), a micro-dosing unit (5) and a control device (6). The micro-dosing unit (5) is implemented separately from the pipette unit (1). However, it can be coupled to the pipette unit (1) in a precisely defined relative position. The pipette unit (1) thus has a coupling device (10) and the micro-dosing unit (5) has a corresponding counter-coupling device (11). One of the two devices can be switched. By switching the coupling device (10) and/or the counter-coupling device (11), the micro-dosing unit (5) can be coupled to the pipette unit (1) or decoupled from the pipette unit (1) as desired. If the micro-dosing unit (5) is coupled to the pipette unit (1), it can be moved to different operating positions together with the pipette unit (1).

Abstract

A piston-operated pipette with a drive unit with a piston drive and a displacement unit mounted on the drive unit, the displacement unit being dismountable from the drive unit, the drive unit having an actuating drive for the piston drive and a receiving section for the displacement unit. Abstract

A method for leak testing of hand-held piston stroke pipettes and a corresponding leak testing apparatus (1) for performing the method. Essential to the system is a holder (8) for the sealed connection of a pipette tip (3) to the leak-testing apparatus. A line system (9) with connecting sections of the leak-testing apparatus forms a specific connection volume. The pipette tip (3) is evacuated to a measuring pressure below atmospheric pressure. With the vacuum pump (5) disconnected and the connection volume sealed off, the pressure is measured after a specific time interval, and any possible rise in pressure is determined. An indication of the serviceability of the pipette (2) is generated from the pressure rise determined.

Abstract
