Alloys comprised of a refined microstructure, ultrafine or nano scaled, that when reacted with water or any liquid containing water will spontaneously and rapidly produce hydrogen at ambient or elevated temperature are described. These metals, termed here as aluminum based nanogalvanic alloys will have applications that include but are not limited to energy generation on demand. The alloys may be composed of primarily aluminum and other metals e.g. tin bismuth, indium, gallium, lead, etc. and/or carbon, and mixtures and alloys thereof. The alloys may be processed by ball milling for the purpose of synthesizing powder feed stocks, in which each powder particle will have the above mentioned characteristics. These powders can be used in their inherent form or consolidated using commercially available techniques for the purpose of manufacturing useful functional components.

Abstract
A method and a system of estimating core temperatures of battery cells in a battery pack can include several steps. In one step, a surface temperature of one or more battery cell(s) is received, a current of the one or more battery cell(s) is received, an inlet temperature of coolant provided to the battery pack is received, and a flow rate or velocity of the coolant is received. In another step, estimations are made including those of a cell-lumped internal electrical resistance of the battery cell(s), a cell-lumped conduction resistance between a core and a surface of the battery cell(s), and a cell- lumped convection resistance between the surface and the coolant. In yet another step, an estimation is made of a core temperature of the battery cell(s) based upon the received and estimated values of previous steps.

Abstract
A cementitious panel with ballistic and blast resistant properties having a core layer of ultra-high compressive strength composite and at least one skin layer. The panels can also be used in walls, ceiling and flooring panels which require high compressive strength for resistance to earthquakes and surfaces resistant to surface abuse such as in prison and other institutions. The panel core layer has a continuous cementitious phase resulting from the curing of an aqueous mixture, in the absence of silica flour, of inorganic cement binder, inorganic mineral filler having a particle size of about 150-450 microns, a pozzolanic mineral filler, polycarboxylate based superplasticizer, alkanolamine and acid or alkali metal acid salt; and water. The mixture may be uniformly reinforced with fiber added before curing. The cementitious core layer is then reinforced with the skin, such as fiber reinforced polymer, attached to at least one panel surface.

Abstract
A one part, solids containing decontamination blend composition comprises a solid acetyl donor coated with a compound that protects it from hydrolysis, a peroxygen source, optionally a catalyst, optionally a surfactant, and optionally a buffer. The decontamination blend composition is generally in a dry powder, particle, etc form or in a tablet, pill, etc form and is complete in and of itself in that no additional compounds are required prior to use and is readily distributed as a one package system. Upon the addition of water, a peroxygen compound such as hydrogen peroxide is formed, and peracetic acid is generated under alkaline conditions. The decontamination blend composition is particularly suitable for oxidizing various chemical and biological compounds thereby eradicating the same in situ as on surfaces, clothes, articles, and the like. Representative contaminants include mustard gas, nerve gas, bacterial toxins, anthrax, bird flu, and the like.

ABSTRACT Doppler radar sets of the type including circuitry for determining and displaying sense of target motion along the radar beam. The Doppler phase shifters in the I and Q channels of pulse radars of this type are designed to operate at frequencies much higher than the Doppler baseband frequencies by selecting one of the Doppler sidebands of the radar's pulse repetition frequency, or one of the sidebands of a harmonic of such pulse repetition frequency, for application to said Doppler phase shifters. The higher operating frequency simplifies the design and construction of the Doppler phase shifters.

Abstract of the Disclosure The power supply potential applied to the final stage of an RF amplifier is modulated by means of an adaptive power supply. The power supply potential applied to the final RF amplifier is controlled by a first control loop in accordance with an error signal derived from a comparison of a signal cor- responding to the weighted sum of the magnitude of the supply voltage applied and the current drawn by the final amplifier and the amplitude of the modulating signal. Additionally, an automatic level control circuit controls the level of the RF output signal in a second control loop in accordance with a comparison between the magnitude of the RF output of the amplifier and the amplitude of the modulating signal.

Abstract of the Disclosure A shaped charge warhead comprises a fragmenting wall defining a space which contains a shaped charge liner that is conical in shape having a large diameter base. The space between the liner and wall is filled with high explosive with a portion of the space adjacent the liner base being disposed by a support ring which interconnects the liner base with the wall. The reduc- tion of explosive near the line of base and the provision of the supporting ring improves the velocity configuratlon of a jet formed by the exploding warhead in that the velocity of the jet tail is reduced with respect to the velocity of the jet tip. The jet thus formed has increased an attrition capacity for antimaterial purposes.
