Abstract

The present invention is to provide a terminal capable of being reduced in size and a connecting holder of the same. Abstract

The present invention provides a switch having a small longitudinal size of movable contacts and reduced size. The switch includes a base, a pair of fixing terminals standing on an upper surface of the base, an insulating wall section integrated with at least one of the fixing terminals, a push button arranged to be upward and downward movable in the axial direction, and a slider movable upward and downward with the push button. The slider has elastic arm sections in both ends thereof, the elastic arm sections being provided with movable contact portions to be brought into sliding contact with the fixing terminals or the insulating wall section while pressing the fixing terminals or the insulating wall section from one side. Abstract

This invention provides a flow measuring device of a bypass structure that uses an orifice holding member to hold an orifice, the flow measuring device reducing a change of a flow ratio due to such as a production tolerance of the orifice holding member. A main flow channel is provided for a flow channel block, and an auxiliary flow channel is provided in parallel to the main flow channel. On a front portion of the main flow channel, a spacer container having a C-shaped cross section is provided in a depressed manner along an outer circumference surface, and a portion where the spacer container is not provided is configured as the flow channel wall. Out of a branch flow introduction channel and a branch flow collection channel that communicate the main flow channel and the auxiliary flow channel, a branch entrance of the branch flow introduction channel opens in the flow channel wall at a front side of the main flow channel, and a collection exit of the branch flow collection channel opens in the wall surface of the main flow channel at a back side of the main flow channel. Abstract

A communication system is formed with a master unit having a communication function and at least one slave unit also having a communication function connected by a network including a bus. Repeater units are inserted on the network between the master unit and the slave unit in one or more stages. As the master unit transmits request frames downstream through the network to the slave unit, the slave unit control the timing of transmitting the response frames in response successively such that the master unit receives the response frames without waiting in between regardless of repeater delay times of each of the returned response frames determined by the number of stages of the repeater units. Abstract

An arrayed-waveguide grating type optical multi- demultiplexer includes input waveguides, a first slab waveguide, a channel waveguide array, a second slab waveguide, and output waveguides. A pair of different refractive index regions, each having a refractive index different from that of the second slab waveguide, are formed on the second slab waveguide near a boundary between the second slab waveguide and channel waveguide array. The different refractive index regions project in peninsular shapes from both side portions of the slab waveguide. Light traveling from each waveguide of the channel waveguide array toward the output waveguides passes through the different refractive index regions. An optical distribution with a flattened field-distribution peak is created at a boundary between the second slab waveguide and output waveguides.

A fingerprint identification device judges that the input fingerprint is identical to the fingerprint in the database only when a the touch sensor detects the human finger and a the fingerprint processing unit detects that the input fingerprint is identical to a fingerprint in the database. The touch sensor includes an oscillator that outputs a high frequency signal. An electrode unit applies the high frequency signal to the human finger. A detector unit detects a variation of impedance values varied by the human finger contracting the electrode unit and outputs an output signal based on the variation of impedance values. A discriminator unit determines whether the human finger is in contact with the electrode unit by comparing the output signal from the detector unit with a predetermined reference value.

Abstract

In a switch device, a first group of connector terminals arranged in one line among connecter terminals arranged in plural lines is constructed by a one metal stamping together with a wiring pattern. The metal stamping is subjected to insert molding to form an insert molding 10. A second group of connector terminals arranged in another line among the connector terminals in plural lines are parts of metal pieces which are different from the metal stamping. The second group of connector terminals are press-fitted in the insert molding. In the switch device, the manufacture of the metal stamping is less in the number of bending steps, and can be achieved with a simple stamping metal mold.

Abstract

Light is projected upon a road surface (LD) from a light source (11) for illuminating the road surface. Diffuse reflected light from the road surface (LD) is received by light sensors (31A, 31B) through a spatial filter, and the resulting light-reception signals are applied to a differential amplifier circuit (51). A center-frequency component corresponding to the spatial frequency of the spatial filter is extracted by a tracking band-pass filter (52), and the intensity (Da) thereof is detected by an amplitude detector circuit (54). Low-frequency component intensity (Db) corresponding to a spatial frequency lower than the spatial frequency of the spatial filter is detected by a tracking low-pass filter (55) and an amplitude detector circuit (56). The condition of the road surface is judged to be snow, gravel or asphalt in a discriminating circuit (60) based upon the center-frequency component intensity (Da) and the low-frequency component intensity (Db).
