The headrest moving device includes: a cover including a front wall and a rear wall a middle cover disposed inside the cover and formed with a hollow portion; a locking cover inserted into the hollow portion, connected to the cover, and formed with teeth along a forward/backward direction thereof; a lock pin plate installed on the middle cover to be slidable in a leftward/rightward direction and provided with a lock pin inserted into the teeth; a lock plate formed with through-holes through which vertical portions of a stay rod pass, the lock plate being installed on the middle cover to be slidable in the leftward/rightward direction and being connected to the lock pin plate; a return spring configured to return the lock plate or the lock pin plate; and a button configured to move the lock plate in the leftward/rightward direction. The cover is formed in an integrated body so that the spacing between the front wall and the rear wall may be maintained constantly.
A headrest moving device which includes a press member, a moving unit that is moved horizontally by the press member, a return spring that functions to return the moving unit to an original position, a screw, a block that is provided with threads in the inner circumferential surface thereof and is engaged with the screw through a screw type engagement, a locking unit that selectively releases the block from a locked state in response to a movement of the moving unit, and a frame that is installed on a stay rod and supports the moving unit, in which either one of the screw and the block can be rotated so that the device can control the position of a headrest steplessly in forward and backward directions.
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for moving a headrest. The apparatus includes a push member, a horizontal member which is horizontally moved by the push member, a return spring which returns the horizontal member to its original position, a power transmission unit which transmits the movement of the horizontal member, a first pinion gear which rotates using drive force transmitted from the power transmission unit, a second pinion gear which receives drive force from the power transmission unit and rotates in a direction opposite to the rotation of the first pinion gear, a spring which is connected to the first pinion gear and the second pinion gear, a movable member which is fitted into the spring, and a stay rod which has at least two locking notches spaced apart from each other so that the horizontal member is locked to a selected one of the locking notches. Therefore, the structure of the apparatus is compact.
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for moving a headrest. The apparatus includes a stay rod, a fixing cam which is fixed to the stay rod and provided with a locking protrusion, a rotating cam which is provided on the fixing cam and has an insert depression into which the locking protrusion is inserted, a support spring which biases the rotating cam to the fixing cam, and a return spring which has a first end fixed in place and a second end connected to the rotating cam. The fixing cam has a spring support supporting the support spring. The rotating cam has a through hole which has a diameter greater than a diameter of the stay rod so that the rotating cam can be provided around the stay rod after passing through one end of the stay rod and a bent portion of the stay rod.
A headrest for a vehicle is disclosed. The headrest includes a first movable body (200) and a second movable body (700). A support body (500) is provided between the first movable body and the second movable body and has a support guide bracket. A first link (610) is hinged at a first end thereof to the first movable body. A second link (650) is hinged at a first end thereof to the second movable body. A center coupling pin (630) rotatably couples a second end of the first link to a second end of the second link. A guide slot (550) having a predetermined radius of curvature is formed in the support guide bracket. The guide slot provides a path along which the center coupling pin moves. The headrest has a reduced volume, and the distance that the headrest moves forwards can be maximized.

The present invention generally relates to a headrest for vehicles, and more particularly to a headrest for cars which may be easily folded manually or electrically, thereby providing other passengers with a wider prospect. A headrest of the present invention comprises a pivotable housing member comprising a pair of housing halves and rotatably coupled to the horizontal portion of the stay rod, a ratchet member fixed to the horizontal portion of the stay rod adjoining the inner side wall of one of the housing halves, a return spring wound around the horizontal portion of the stay rod between the ratchet member and the other of the housing halves, a check member pivotably arranged above the ratchet member to engage with or be disengaged from the ratchet member and keep the upright position of the pivotable housing member when the ratchet member engages with the check member, a check spring for maintaining the engagement of the ratchet member with the check member, a release member for disengaging the check member from the ratchet member.
