Abstract

A process of determination of a percentage of glass surface to treat with a decoating process in a defined enclosed space in order to reach a predetermined level of electromagnetic reception and/or transmission at a predetermined frequency, using a database. The process contains the following: measurement of the inside and/or outside electromagnetic signal amplitude; calculation of an expected attenuation level; identification, in said database, of reference percentages of treated surface where the corresponding reference attenuation levels are inferior or equal to the expected attenuation level; determination of a percentage of glass surface to treat in the defined enclosed space corresponding to the identified reference percentage of treated surface where the corresponding reference attenuation level is minimum.

Abstract

A flat plate connector including a glass substrate, a conductive silver printing, an adhesion material for electrical connection, an insulated film, a conductive metal strip, and an additional adhesion tape. The flat connector having a dedicated cut-out, where the flat connector before mechanical and electrical bounding with the adhesion material can be fixed with a tape which, depending on its type, can also enhance pull-off resistance and ageing tests. The area is then defined as the surface where the connector adheres to the glass, including the different adhesion materials. The dedicated cut is made in the flat connector to generate a symmetric tensile stress on this adhesion area when the connector is submitted to a pull-off tensile force, the symmetry axis being defined by this pull force axis.

Abstract

The present invention concerns a heatable wired laminated glazing (1) for a vehicle. The automotive glazing is configured to be placed in front of an optical sensor. The glazing comprises an internal glass sheet (13) facing the optical sensor, and an external glass sheet (11) facing the outside of the vehicle. The glazing, being a laminated glazing, further comprises an interlayer (12) laminating the internal glass sheet (13) and the external glass sheet (11) together. The interlayer (12) comprises embedded conductive wires (2). The glazing further comprises a flat connector partially embedded between the interlayer and the internal or external glass sheet and extending along the internal glass sheet towards the face of the internal glass sheet opposite to the interlayer. The flat connector (3) is connected to the embedded conductive wires (2). The flat connector (3) comprises, on its part opposite to the interlayer (12), a control circuit (4) configured to control the embedded conductive wires (2). The flat connector (3) further comprises, on its part opposite to the interlayer (12), an active regulation system (5) configured to be connected to a battery of the vehicle. The flat connector (3) further comprises, on its part next to the interlayer (12), at least one thermistor (6). The thermistor (6) is connected to the control circuit (4) through the flat connector (3). The invention also relates to the use of such glazing as a windshield or a rearlite of a vehicle.

Abstract

A method for busbar hiding of a heated coating laminated glazing formed by a first glass sheet and a second glass sheet, each having an outer and an inner face. The method also includes performing enamel printing on an inner face of the first glass sheet and/or the second glass sheet, where the enamel forms a pattern. The enamel is fired and the pattern is covered at least in part by a coating, where the coating extends to at least an area of the enamel for applying busbars. At least two silver busbars are applied in the area on top of the extended coating. A thermal treatment is applied on the first and second glass sheets, where the first and second glass sheets are laminated and the coating is provided between the first and second glass sheets.
