Abstract
The disclosure relates to a coating composition comprising a polymerizable compound of formula [1], wherein G is a residue of a hydrophobic hydroxy-functional oligomer, n is 1-10, each R1 independently is a residue of a C6-C20 aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, or aromatic hydrocarbon compound, and Z is a moiety having a polymerizable group; Formula [1] a hydrophilic polymer; a photo-initiator; optionally one or more further components, and a solvent. The polymerizable compound of formula [1] is typically present in an amount of 2.0- 30 mass% based on total dry mass of the composition. Such coating composition can be made into a well-adhering single-layer hydrophilic coating on a surface of polymer substrates without providing a primer layer or chemically modifying the surface of the substrate. Upon wetting, the coating shows excellent lubricity and durability. In further aspects, the disclosure provides a method of applying a hydrophilic and optionally lubricious coating to an article; and an article like a medical device having on at least part of its surface a single-layer, hydrophilic and optionally lubricious coating, like a catheter, guidewire, or a delivery device for an implant.

Abstract
The present invention is related to a retinoid-producing host cell, particularly oleaginous yeast, modified such that the percentage of retinyl acetate based on the total retinoids produced by such host cell is increased during fermentation using triglyceride oils, like for example vegetable oil, as carbon source, wherein the activity of certain endogenous hydrolases or transferases involved in undesired conversions of retinol or retinol acetate is reduced or abolished. Particularly, such modified host cell might be useful in a biotechnological process for production of vitamin A.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a quick-sinking fish feed in the form of pellets. It has been found that pellets, the diameter of which is < 4 mm, have difficulty in sinking, especially in the cold time of the year when the density of water is at its maximum. The reason why the feed does not sink is its low intrinsic weight and the too high surface tension. If the fish does not have time to catch the feed, the pellets will be moved by the waves of the sea through the meshes out into the free water. This problem can be solved by loading or coating the fish feed pellets with an oil comprising at least 10% microbial oil.

Abstract
The invention relates to an easy and mild method of encapsulating lipophilic compounds. To induce coacervation, no acid needs to be added. Therefore, the coacervate capsules of the invention may encapsulate lipophilic actives which are sensitive to acid degradation. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a vegetarian rapeseed protein isolate is used to encapsulate vegetarian algae oil. The thus obtained product is a vegetarian or even vegan source of polyunsaturated fatty acids.

Abstract
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for processing biologic tissues, such as adipose tissue. The devices comprise a rotatable chamber and a fiber collector within. The fiber collector is configured to capture fibers from a sample. The devices further comprise a drive unit configured to rotate the rotatable chamber, thereby producing a centrifugal field, whereupon when a sample of biologic tissue is present in the rotatable chamber, the sample stratifies into at least two constituent layers as a function of the differing specific gravities of the constituents

Abstract
The present invention relates to an oil comprising at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid having at least 20 carbon atoms (LC-PUFA). It is found that LC-PUFA-containing oil are susceptible to gelling by formation of microscopic crystals during storage ultimately resulting in unfavorable quality and handling properties. This problem has been particularly observed with a microbial oil comprising at least about 25% by weight LC-PUFA and a moisture content of 0,2 to 5% by weight. Surprisingly, it has been found that a LC-PUFA-containing oil as described above is effectively stable and does not show gelling properties under conventional storage conditions, if the oil composition as such contains less than about 8% preferably less than about 5% by weight of free fatty acid in the residual moisture of the oil. Therefore, the present invention is directed to an oil comprising at least about 25% by weight LC-PUFA and a moisture content comprising less than about 8% preferably less than about 5% by weight of free fatty acid.

Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the production of ethanol from a composition comprising at least glucose comprising fermenting said composition in the presence of a recombinant yeast; and recovering the ethanol, wherein said yeast comprises one or more genes coding for an enzyme having glycerol dehydrogenase activity, one or more genes coding for an enzyme having dihydroxyacetone kinase activity (E.C. 2.7.1.28 and/or E.C. 2.7.1.29); one or more genes coding for an enzyme in an acetyl-CoA-production pathway and one or more genes coding for an enzyme having at least NAD+ dependent acetylating acetaldehyde dehydrogenase activity (EC 1.2.1.10 or EC 1.1.1.2), and optionally one or more genes coding for a glycerol transporter, wherein the composition comprises an amount of undissociated acetic acid of 10 mM or less. A recombinant yeast having the genes as described above is particularly sensitive towards acetic acid, and the ethanol yield rapidly decreases when the composition contains more than 10 mM undissociated acetic acid.

Abstract
The invention describes a process for the production of ethanol from a composition comprising glucose and between 50 µM and 100 mM acetic acid, said process comprising fermenting said composition in the presence of a recombinant yeast which is capable to convert acetic acid anaerobically; maintaining the amount of undissociated acetic acid at a value of at least 50 µM; and recovering the ethanol. Said process is useful for both starch and cellulosic based, acetic acid containing hydrolysates and advantageously results in a greater consumption of acetic acid and thus higher ethanol yields.

Abstract
The processes for obtaining a microbial oil comprising one or more polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) from one or more microbial cells comprise removing water from the cell fermentation broth or lysed cell composition before demulsification is conducted. Such a process has the benefits of reduced demulsification time and reduced salt use. Microbial oil comprising one or more PUFAs can be recovered from microbial cells by the process.

Abstract
The present invention describes a native rapeseed protein isolate which has a sweetness equivalent to at least 5 g/l of an aqueous sucrose solution when provided as a 2 wt.% aqueous solution. The rapeseed protein isolate preferably comprises 40 to 65 wt.% cruciferins and 35 to 60 wt.% napins and having a solubility of at least 88% over a pH range from 3 to 10 at a temperature of 23±2°C. The use and food or beverage products are also claimed. The process for obtaining said native rapeseed protein isolate comprises the steps of: i) mixing cold-pressed rapeseed oil meal with an aqueous liquid at a temperature of from 45 to 65°C; ii) separation of the aqueous liquid from the mixture obtained in step i); iii) decreaming of the aqueous liquid obtained in step ii); iv) adjusting the pH of the decreamed aqueous liquid obtained in step iii) to neutral by adding acid or base, and mixing with a precipitant to obtain a precipitate; v) removing the precipitate obtained in step iv) to obtain an aqueous liquid; vi) concentrating and washing the aqueous liquid obtained in step v); vii) isolating native rapeseed protein isolate from the concentrated and washed aqueous liquid obtained in step vi) by means of drying.
