Abstract

The present technology relates to an information processing system and an information processing method with which it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a black belt when shooting a display unit. The control unit of a vertical blanking period control unit controls the vertical blanking period of a video displayed in a video wall, on the basis of the exposure time of a video camera that shoots the video wall. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a re-shooting system that is used in virtual production in which re-shooting is conducted against the video displayed on an LED display as a background, or a PC, a video wall controller, a video wall, and a video camera that constitute the re-shooting system.

Abstract

This technology relates to a data processing device and a data processing method that enable convenience to be further improved when a plurality of transmission formats become available to a transmission frame. A data processing device installed in a transmitting-side facility processes a transmission frame to be transmitted as a broadcast signal to thereby add identification information for identifying the transmission format of the transmission frame, whereas a data processing device installed in a receiving-side facility processes a transmission frame, the transmission format of which is identified, on the basis of identification information added to the transmission frame to be transmitted as a broadcast signal. This technology is applicable, for example, as a method for a test stream.

Abstract

The present technique relates to a transmission apparatus, a reception apparatus and a data processing method that allow time information to be precisely and efficiently transferred. A transmission apparatus generates a physical layer frame including time information and transmits the physical layer frame. A reception apparatus receives the physical layer frame from the transmission apparatus and performs a predetermined processing on the basis of the time information included in the physical layer frame. The front of the physical layer frame includes time information indicating an arbitrary time. The present technique can be applied to a digital television broadcast using an IP system.

Abstract

The present technology relates to a transmitting device, a transmitting method, a receiving device and a receiving method which make it possible for an information amount for additional information in a physical layer to be adequately secured. The transmitting device generates and transmits an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal in which additional information is allocated to an additional carrier for each group into which additional carriers used for transporting additional information of a physical layer, from among the carriers of the OFDM signal of one frame, are grouped, where the number of groups corresponds to the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) size when an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) of the OFDM signal is performed. The receiving device receives the OFDM signal and acquires from the OFDM signal the additional information corresponding to the number of groups corresponding to the DFT size. This technology can, for example, be applied when transmitting or receiving an OFDM signal.

Abstract

The present technique relates to a reception apparatus, a transmission apparatus and a data processing method that allow a digital television broadcast to be more flexibly operated. A reception apparatus receives broadcast signals transmitted by use of a frequency division multiplex scheme (FDM). Then, on the basis of control-information-presence information that is included in first control information obtained from the broadcast signals and serving as control information for a physical layer, and that indicates the presence or absence of second control information serving as control information for layers higher than the physical layer, the reception apparatus processes the second control information transmitted for each hierarchical layer. The present technique can be applied, for example, to a receiver capable of receiving a digital television broadcast.
