Abstract

An information processing system includes an information bearing medium and an information reading unit. The information bearing medium has a two-dimensional array of unit data zones. Marks are provided on some of the unit data zones so as to form a digital code. Mark patterns of any two Y-directional adjacent unit data zone strings based on the arrangement of marks in an X-direction differ from each other. The information reading unit generates a data string on the basis of a unit signal formed from a plurality of signals output from a group of detection units that detect the marks in synchronization and recognizes the digital code of the information bearing medium on the basis of a group of the data strings sequentially obtained from the array of the unit data zones.

Abstract

There is provided a game device for providing a play experience of a first game in which a first-type game element appears, the game device including a performing unit, an operation unit, a communication unit, and a control unit. The performing unit performs a process concerning the first game. The operation unit accepts an input operation for an operation target game element that is the first-type game element appearing in the first game. The communication unit is configured so as to be capable of transmitting and receiving information concerning the operation target game element between the game device and a same-type game device and between the game device and a first communication terminal capable of providing a play experience of a second game using the first-type game element. The control unit controls the communication unit.

Abstract

A shoulder joint structure of a doll body includes a first joint member housed inside a trunk of the doll body and connected to the trunk, a second joint member housed inside the trunk and connected to the first joint member, and a third joint member connected to the second joint member and an arm of the doll body through an opening formed in a shoulder of the trunk. The first joint member is rotatable about a first connecting portion between the trunk and the first joint member, so as to move the third joint member away from a trunk axis of the trunk in a shoulder width direction. The second joint member is rotatable about a second connecting portion between the first joint member and the second joint member, so as to move the third joint member away from the trunk axis in the shoulder width direction.

Abstract

[Problem] To provide an educational toy which allows an observed action to be experienced artificially. [Solution] A toy system (900) is used by bringing a magnifying-glass type hand-held instrument (930) into contact with a page (912) of a main body portion (910) having a picture portion (914). The magnifying-glass type hand-held instrument (930) captures an image of the picture portion (914), and determines the location, within the image in said picture portion, that has been captured. From pre-stored image data of a picture image that is the same as the picture portion (914), image data for a part (a partial image) corresponding to the location being captured are then read out and are displayed on a touch panel (942). If the location being captured fulfills certain location conditions, one image element from image elements W41 to W49 is also selected as a special image and is displayed superimposed on the partial image.

Abstract

The invention is an improved yo-yo that features two side assemblies that sandwich a center axle onto which the yo-yo's tether may be secured. According to a first embodiment, each of the side assemblies preferably includes a releasable, disk-shaped rim piece. By replacing one set of replaceable rim pieces with another, a user can quickly and easily change the yo-yo's shape, look and/or functionality. To remove a rim piece, one first removes a lock ring that is secured to the rim piece and blocks a number of openings that lead to grooves in a center-located hub. Next, one employs a twisting movement of the rim piece to cause a number of tabs attached to the rim piece to slide in the hub's grooves until the tabs are aligned with the openings. The rim piece can then be disengaged from the yo-yo.

Abstract

A communication game device which is disclosed can communicate with another game device, memorize the information about a communication partner at the time of the communication, and offer the communication game device which can process information for the succeeding game to be reflected in the contents of a game or the simulation. The communication game device has a processing section, a program storage part which memorizes a control program, an image storage section which memorizes character pictures matched with picture IDs, and controlling elements which can be operated by a game player. When the player's game device receives parameters from another communication game device, the parameters are stored or the data is renewed. If a parameter containing a body ID and the same body ID as arbitrary data is not stored, the arbitrary data in the parameter is memorized. If the parameter has been memorized, it is updated.

Abstract

In response to a request of an image delivery from a mobile phone 4, a gateway server 2 sets a user ID corresponding to an intrinsic identifier of the mobile phone 4 in the request, and transmits it to an IP server 1. The IP server 1 receives the request from the gateway server 2, and checks right and wrong of the image delivery based on the user ID that is being set in the request, and if a result of the check indicates a user to whom the image delivery may be conducted, a requested image data is transmitted to the mobile phone 4. The mobile phone 4 receives the image data, and holds the received image data in a storage region to which access from a user is restricted.
