Abstract

A two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire having a tread, a tire carcass, tire sidewalls, and two bead regions with a bead protective strip. The tire carcass is formed from a first carcass inlay and a second carcass inlay. The second carcass inlay is arranged radially inwardly of the first carcass inlay, and extends from a crown region (17) of the two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire and terminates at a second carcass inlay end under the bead protective strip. The two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire provides improved puncture protection whilst maintaining good rolling resistance. This is achieved in that the first carcass inlay is guided with a first carcass inlay turn-up over the particular tire sidewall as far as under the tread to a first carcass inlay end, and terminates there at the first carcass inlay end.

Abstract

A pneumatic vehicle tire having two or more belt plies which have reinforcement members crossing at an angle. The reinforcement members within each belt ply are arranged substantially parallel to and spaced apart from one another and are embedded in rubber material. The belt has at least one first belt ply, the reinforcement members of which are formed by ultra-tensile steel monofilaments having a tensile strength of 3080 N/mm2 to 4190 N/mm2. The steel monofilaments have a diameter D of 0.33 mm to 0.37 mm. This provides, at lower cost, a pneumatic vehicle tyre with low rolling resistance, by way of simultaneously simplified production. This is achieved in that the steel monofilaments have a torsion value of approximately zero windings in the case of a length dimension of 200 times the diameter of the steel monofilament.

Abstract

The invention relates to a vulcanization mold for pneumatic vehicle tires with cast mold segments (1) forming a tread of a pneumatic vehicle tire, which at least have ribs (5, 6) for forming grooves in the tread and sipes (11) for forming incisions in the tread. The invention was based on the object of creating a vulcanization mold of the type described at the outset which, while retaining the inexpensive casting method for the mold segments, enables tread profiles to be formed with grooves and incisions, with the incisions being able to have chamfers in the transition to adjacent blocks in the tread profile and in which the manufacturing limitations described are minimized. This object is achieved in that the elements (5, 6, 11) for producing grooves and incisions are at least partially subsequently introduced into the mold segments (1) after the mold segments (1) have been cast.

Abstract

The invention is directed to a vehicle pneumatic tire wherein strengthening plies are provided with steel cords running parallel to one another. The belt plies can be used, as isolated electrically conductive plates, for supplying electricity to electrical consumers such as sensors and actuators installed in the tire. Adjacent belt plies can be connected by puncture sensors to be able to identify damage to the belt caused by metallic parts penetrating from the outside, such as nails, on the basis of a change in the electrical resistance.
