Abstract

The invention relates to a firearm (100) comprising a barrel (101) comprising a gas opening, and a gas system (10), which gas system (10) comprises a gas block (11), a gas piston (12), a force transmitter assembly (13), an indexing part (21) and an indexing counterpart (22), gas openings (18). The gas block (11) is fixedly attached to the barrel and the gas piston (12) is positioned by the indexing part (21;22). In the gas system (10) gas is configured to pass through the gas opening of the barrel (101) via the gas openings (18) of the gas system into the gas block (11) and to set the gas piston (12) to movement. In the gas system (10) the gas piston (12) during its movement backwards is configured to close the gas opening of the barrel (101) for a defined time period and the gas piston (12) is not transmitting power/energy from combustion gas to the force transmitter assembly (13) unless the gas opening/-s (18) is/are closed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a firing pin safety of a firearm, which firearm (100) comprises a firing pin safety (10), a hammer (17), a bolt (18), a bolt carrier (12) and a firing pin (15), in which the firing pin safety (10) comprises a safety lever (11) mounted on a bolt carrier (12) of the firearm, which firing pin safety (10) is configured to control movement of a firing pin (15) of the firearm. The safety lever (11) and the hammer (17) are integrated functionally, the safety lever (11) is turnable and has three main positions: a basic position, in which position the safety lever (11) retains movement of the firing pin (15) to a primer of a cartridge and from inside the bolt (18), a release position, in which the safety lever (11) actuated by the hammer (17) releases movement of the firing pin (15) towards the primer of the cartridge but not from inside the bolt (18), and a dismantle position, in which position the safety lever (11) of the firing pin safety (10) can be dismantled and the firing pin (15) can be removed manually from inside the bolt (18) of the firearm (100) without tools.

Abstract

The invention relates to an aiming method, aiming system (10) and computer program product utilized in the aiming method where also a real-time bullet velocity (31) of a fired shot by a sniper rifle is utilized.
