Abstract
An illumination device (4) that is applied to an imaging unit for imaging an object. The illumination device (4) comprises: an object cover (132) constituted from a member that can transmit light, the object cover (132) being provided so as to guide light from the object to the imaging unit in order to cause the imaging unit to image the object; and light sources (141, 142, 143) provided closer to the imaging unit than the object cover (132), for illuminating the object through the object cover (132). The light sources (141, 142, 143) are provided in a region farther out than an inversion region, in which a region defined by prescribed light beams included in luminous flux closer to the object than the object cover (132) is substantially inverted on the imaging unit side of the object cover (132), the luminous flux impinging on an imaging element (44) via imaging lenses (41a, 41b) from the object side in a state where the imaging lenses (41a, 41b) are focused on the object that contacts the object cover (132).

Abstract
An identification apparatus includes a first one-vs.-rest identifier, a second one-vs.- rest identifier, and a corrector. The first one-vs.-rest identifier identifies a first class among a plurality of classes. The second one-vs.-rest identifier identifies a second class different from the first class among the plurality of classes. The corrector corrects an identification result provided by the first one-vs.-rest identifier using the identification result provided by the second one-vs.-rest identifier.

Abstract
Provided are a diagnosis assisting device, an imaging processing method in the diagnosis assisting device, and a non-transitory storage medium having stored therein a program that facilitate a grasp of a difference in an diseased area to perform a highly precise diagnosis assistance. According to an image processing method in a diagnosis assisting device that diagnoses lesions from a picked-up image, a reference image corresponding to a known first picked-up image relating to lesions is registered in a database, and when a diagnosis assistance is performed by comparing a query image corresponding to an unknown second picked-up image relating to lesions with the reference image in the database, a reference image is created from the reference image by geometric transformation, or a query image is created from the query image by geometric transformation.

Abstract
First extracting means 101b-1 of a processing unit 101, based on a brightness component and a color information component of a captured image separated by separating means 101a, extract a candidate region using a first morphology processing based on the brightness component, and second extracting means 101b-2 of the processing unit 101 extract a likelihood of a region from a color space composed of the brightness component and the color information component and perform a second morphology processing to generate a region-extracted image, which is displayed on the display device 120. In this case, the morphology processing including the smoothing filter processing is performed on an extracted candidate region and an extracted likelihood of the region.
